Job Openings: Doc's and the Launching Pad
We are currently accepting applications for a variety of positions, including bartenders, bar-backs, kitchen staff, security staff, and marketing coordinators. Apply in person during business hours with bar manager Jimmy Dayton.
Also, our non-profit organization, the Full Circle Arts Co-op, is looking for volunteers to help run our all-ages venue, The Launching Pad. Contact Full Circle director Mary Ogle if you are interested in staffing Launching Pad events or assisting in the venue's public relations and marketing. The Launching Pad committee meets at the Launching Pad on Mondays at 7pm and is open to anyone interested.
And as always, the Doc's Music Hall street team meets on Mondays at 6:30pm, and anyone interested in attending and helping promote Doc's gets to enjoy free pizza and beer during the meetings.

The Delaware County Health Department and Doc's Music Hall have teamed up to create a downtown distribution point for free condoms. Happy Christmahanukwanzaka Season!

A happy secular non-denominational all-inclusive holiday season to you all! In honor of the Blue Laws that plague us incessantly, we will be closed for Christmas. |
Full Circle in works to acquire The Launching Pad
The Star Press recently reported (erroneously) that the Full Circle Arts Co-op has leased The Launching Pad. It is, however, true that the two groups are working closely together now and are looking into signing a lease.
That means that the management of The Muncie Scene, Doc's Music Hall, the Full Circle Arts Co-op, and the Launching Pad now all overlap to cover some of the most important areas of our local art/music community:
The Muncie Scene: Online information database, communication center, promotional vehicle.
Doc's Music Hall: Muncie's premiere 21+ venue, recording studio, art gallery.
Full Circle Arts Co-op: 501(c)3 non-profit group dedicated to local community work, backing grants for local projects, and building a downtown all-ages community center / venue / gallery.
The Launching Pad: Muncie's premiere all-ages venue.
So that means that if you want to attend, perform at, or put on all-ages events in Muncie, the management of Doc's can help you out!
The DocsCam Returns!
What's this? The long-anticipated resurrection of our webcam?

Saints be praised, now we can spy on drunk people and cool concerts that we're missing! The image updates every minute, so that means 86,400 opportunities per day to catch something interesting happening. Why would you ever sleep again?
Doc's Newsflash
Lots of exciting things happening around Doc's Music Hall!
New Art Exhibition
For Halloween, we're showcasing the fabulous artwork of Jennifer Davis. Check out this new collection of thirty spooky, sexy, strange, and inspired paintings by our latest featured Hoosier artist.

Halloween Show
The Halloween concert we're throwing this year is looking better and better. Just the other day, we added experimental-indie-folk rockers and John Vanderslice cohorts The Physics of Meaning to the bill. Indianapolis rockers Red Queen Hypothesis have gotten on board to play as well. If you want to give them a listen before showing up, download their ten-track CD "Mother Change Brain" for free from Musical Family Tree. And today, Grampall Jookabox released their newest Halloween-themed song "DC" on their MySpace page for free download (featuring Moose from Big Big Car and Lisa from Everthus the Deadbeats). What else? I'll be awarding $30 and $20 bar tabs to the best costumes I see walk in the door on Halloween, and another $50 bar tab to the winning team of the horror trivia contest I'm hosting at 9pm! With a possibility of winning $80 in free drinks and pizza, how can you miss this show?

And tonight,
We're hosting FM Music's Fall Folk Jam, featuring Jassy Grazz, Pray For Mojo, and the Michael Martin Band. Here's what Mike himself has to say about the event:
This is the 6th Annual FMMusic Fall Folk Jam. What started as a fun night of pickin' at the legendary Speak Easy in Muncie, IN has grown into a full fledge production company! FMMusic was founded based on The Fall Folk Jam. Now six years later we are rockin' Doc's Music Hall and helping to change the face of Muncie. Come celebrate with us for a night of Rockin' Country Blues!

Ron White comes to Doc's!
Ron White and Alex Reymundo came into Doc's last Friday after his show at Ball State. They said that they enjoy live music when they are on the road. A night full of scotch, jokes, and heavy metal by local band, Malachai.
Update by Phantom: Long Plastic Hallway totally played this show too! Not just Malachai!
Update by Phantom: Check out the photo gallery of Ron White's visit.
Update by Phantom: Video removed as per the request of Mr. White's manager.
Doc's Webcam Returns
The webcam has returned! Look for it over in the corner, and if you spot awesome shots of some of our upcoming concerts or anything else strange, funny, or noteworthy, feel free to save a copy and email it to us for archiving.
Thanks for the drinks, Dave!
Doc's Music Hall would like to thank David Letterman for stopping by and buying everyone a round of drinks. And in case you were wondering, Rod Crossland, Supreme Overlord of Wishbone Gifts and Guardian of the Dave's Alley Mailbox Key, saw to it that Dave finally picked up his damn mail. Go Rod!
See you guys at Muncie MusicFest tomorrow!
